Accounts Payable Lead
A fast growing company is looking to hire a strong AP Lead to join the team as they continue to grow! This person will oversee and indirectly manage a staff of 2 and be responsible for managing the AP Operations as they start to move from a manual AP process to an automated process. This is a high volume, ever changing department and they need someone who can think creatively to establish processes and refine the ones they currently have. This company is established in over 20 states with over 50 locations in the US.

**Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Supervise and complete the payables process from invoice receipt to payment, including corporate credit cards, petty cash, and expense reports.
+ Collaborate with centers and staff to ensure the accuracy of coding, entry, and vendor information, including reviewing coding for GAAP compliance.
+ Oversee and monitor the collection of necessary documentation for vendor payments, while ensuring control environment remains intact.
+ Assist in financial close monthly, including determining appropriate product costs, prepaid reconciliation, and related accruals.
+ Monitor expense management policies and procedures to minimize costs, ensure proper controls and reduce unnecessary expenditures and make recommendations to enhance reporting, reduce time constraints, and improve processing time.
+ Assist in keeping an audit friendly environment for payables process and expense trails.
+ Mentor, train and develop payable staff support to ensure timeliness of workflow.
+ Review expenses for any unusual items and keep finance leadership abreast of status.
+ Assist centers and staff in providing detailed reconciliations to vendors on invoices and payment history, as requested.
+ Identify and communicate issues and be proactive in determining the impact and proposed resolution with centers and finance leadership.
+ Implement technology and process to allow the department to scale as the company continues to grow.
